Basement Windows and Kitchen Floor Joists

Kyle and his Dad worked hard tearing out the floor joists in the kitchen and putting new ones in.

They look sturdy now- and it's a good thing. The ones that would have been right under the sink completely broke while they were taking them out!

Everything is pretty much gutted- except for the floor, and the beautiful purple bathtub and some of the bathroom tile.

We're having a really hard time picking out a paint color for the trim.

Mom and I are pretty much reglazing window pros.

It looks so much better than boards. (It will look even better without the masking tape- but we're not ready to chance that yet)

Checking out the windows.

First Progress

Tearing down the damaged plaster in the study.

We have locks!
An amazing amount of work done in one hot weekend!

The Living Room plaster is down!

The Outside and the Upstairs

The whole house, from the opposite corner.

The traditional "For Sale Sign" Picture. Only ours was after a 100 degree day of work. Yuck!

My thoughts after we signed the first contract :)

A view of the back of the house. To the right is a the two car garage. Hopefully someday this will be a nice patio.

This is the upstairs. We're hoping to put three bedrooms and a bathroom. This is looking to the back of the house where the bathroom will be.
Kyle measuring :)

This is the front bedroom upstairs. There will be big windows in the front.

The First Post: the Great Clean Out

The first weekend all we were able to do was get things cleaned out of the house. Almost two trailors full!
